Three Kent athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland at the European Championships in Switzerland next month.
Dartford sprint ace Adam Gemili has been chosen as one of three GB representatives in the 200m - the event in which he finished fifth in the World Championships in Moscow last August.
The 20-year-old will also line-up in the 4x100m, although he was overlooked for a spot in the individual 100m in favour of training partner James Dasaolu, who joins automatic qualifiers Dwain Chambers and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.
Gemili's Blackheath & Bromley AC teammate Dina Asher Smith, 18, from Orpington, has been chosen for her first senior individual international competition, being selected for the 200m, having helped GB's women's 4x100m relay team to bronze in Moscow.
Also called-up is Tonbridge AC race walker Tom Bosworth, who will contest the 20km race walk.
The 24-year-old from Kemsing claimed the British record over 5k earlier this month and is currently training at altitude in the Pyrenees ahead of the competition.
Asher-Smith is in Oregon, targeting a sprint double at the World Junior Championships while Gemili is preparing for next week's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with an invitational run at Loughborough this weekend.
