THE Kent RFU's player development centre continues to go from strength to strength.
The PDC - sponsored by Maidstone-based asb law - have produced a number of outstanding players across the county and an impressive team.
Each year the PDC works with up to 30 players aged between 16 and 20 at monthly sessions between January and May and weekly sessions during the summer. A number of good young prospects have emerged from the scheme.
Frankie Neale recently played for England under-20s against Scotland, Billy Moss has been picked for the England under-19 World Cup squad and Ben Ibrahim has been selected for the RFU’s junior national academy.
Chris Wilkins, the KRFU's development officer, said: "Kent club rugby has always been strong, but we wanted to create centres of excellence which would assist the clubs' development of their young players.
"Essentially, it's all about giving the boys the opportunity to reach their true potential. We also want to encourage them to play their rugby in Kent."
