Key battling back for Trophy clash

Possible return: Rob Key
Possible return: Rob Key

Middlesex v Kent

Kent will hope to have skipper Rob Key back in charge of the side for Sunday's second Friends Provident Trophy tie against Middlesex at Lord's.

Key missed the four-day game in Hove with a virus but will hope to return to the helm and inspire Kent to their first one-day win this summer.

Spitfires' record at Lord’s is not the greatest though; of their 22 limited overs appearances in St John's Wood they have lost 12 times.

Their head-to-head record against Middlesex in this competition is not great either as Crusaders boast five wins to Kent’s two in the seven meetings to date.

Former Middlesex seamer Simon Cook, yet to feature in the first team this season, will also be vying for a run out as will Martin Saggers, who was dropped from the side taking on Sussex in the week.

Spitfires’ fans going to the game by train are advised to check times as engineering work on lines into Victoria may disrupt travel plans.
