STRIKER Marlon King has cheered up Gillingham supporters by promising to be back for the start of next season (Tony Hudd writes).
The club’s former top-scorer is undergoing remedial work following surgery to repair damaged cruciate knee ligaments sustained in the game against Derby on January 11.
King said: “I’m working very hard and I'm pleased with the progress I’m making."
He added: "I can see no reason why I shouldn’t be available for the start of next season.”
