ENGLAND batsman Rob Key continued his rich run of county form with a career-best score for Kent on day three of their Frizzell Championship match with Northamptonshire.
Key reached the landmark with a single of Usman Afzaal to pass his previous best of 160 scored against Hampshire at St Lawrence in 2002.
At the other end Andrew Symonds, playing his last game before jetting off to join Australia's one-day squad in Zimbabwe, scored 61, his half-century coming from 83 balls and with six fours.
His demise followed a top-edged sweep to Tim Roberts at short-fine leg to give Afzaal his second wicket of the day.
After 97 overs of their second innings, Kent had reached 358 for three, representing an overall lead in the match of 362.
