KENT skipper Rob Key says he is positive about his side's one-day performances, despite not firing on all cylinders.
Key admits the team's batting displays have room for improvement but is happy that he is presiding over more victories than defeats.
Kent Spitfires opened their NatWest Pro40 League win account with a 109-run win over Somerset Sabres and Key is confident there is more to come from his side.
He said: "We are not batting at our best in one-day cricket and we are making it harder for ourselves because of that, yet we are still posting relatively competitive totals and still winning more than we are losing.
"Once we start batting better we should start making life easier for our bowlers to defend better totals, thereby winning more games and doing reasonably well in this league."
