Assistant manager Alan Kimble has urged Ebbsfleet's new owners to back their summer spending plans.
The Fleet enjoyed an estimated cash windfall in excess of £250,000 following their FA Trophy victory over Torquay earlier this month.
Now Kimble, along with Fleet boss Liam Daish, is keen to see some of that income invested into the playing budget.
He said: “There’s only one way to go now and that’s upwards – I hope next year we can get into the play-offs or automatic promotion – that would be a fantastic achievement.
“We are starting to get a team together now and we know we can get this football club into the Football League.”
He added: “Liam and I are ambitious, the players are ambitious and I just hope now that the club are going to be ambitious and give us the funds we need to take this club forward where it belongs.”
