RAMSGATE manager JImmy Ward has scotched rumours linking striker Stuart King with a return to Herne Bay.

King, signed from Whitstable last season is under contract at Southwood, but trained at his previous club with his knowledge.

The boss said: "Stuart told me he wanted to help his fitness, and they started back before we did.

"He wants to play and I told him to go out there and be my best centre forward.

"He scored two great goals against Hastings last season, but it’s up to him to prove his potential, but a few others have got to do that as well."
