STRIKER Marlon King will be looking to take full advantage of Gillingham’s goalkeeper woes when the former Priestfield hitman faces his former team on Saturday.

The Forest man is still looking for his first goal for his new club after making the switch from Kent to the City Ground for £950,000 at the end of last month and will feel he won’t have a better chance than against Gills.

Jason Brown was ruled out for at least a month after limping out of Gillingham’s defeat against Preston on Saturday.

A scan revealed a tear in his right thigh which will rule him out of the busy festive period, including the FA Cup third round tie against his old club Charlton on January 3.

With Vince Bartram still recovering from a broken wrist picked up in the game against Millwall in September, the door is open for Bertrand Bossu to make his first start.

But he has been in hospital in the last couple of weeks with suspected meningitis and has also been suffering with ‘flu so is hardly fully fit.

With his goalkeeping options seriously restricted, manager Andy Hessenthaler said:

"It may mean that I have to bring in a loan player on the goalkeeping side because with the amount of games we have got over the Christmas and New Year we may need that extra body.

Hessenthaler could decide start himself in midfield against Forest instead of David Perpetuini and may split the Mamady Sidibe-Kevin James partnership and go with just one up front.
