Simon King feels confident that Gillingham have what it takes to beat Luton on Tuesday night.
The central defender played a key role in keeping Carlisle quiet in a 0-0 draw on Saturday and is hoping for more of the same against a side who are almost certain to be relegated to League 2.
King said: “We don’t want to put too much pressure on ourselves or we might start panicking. We have to go out with the same attitude and workrate that we have done recently and take that into Tuesday’s game and get those three points.
“Luton have still got some good players and we will have to match them all over the park.
“On Saturday we started off well and the lads were up for it. The crowd were up for it too and they helped us. Everyone was so full hearted, winning their tackles and headers and there were some good individual performances.
“Danny Cullip was back and he keeps me on my toes and I’ve got the reassurance of him behind me. We looked dangerous on the set-pieces with Nicky Southall coming back in and Simeon Jackson and Dennis Oli are building a good bond up-front.”
