MARGATE manager Chris Kinnear has announced that he is staying with the club but won't confirm confirm or deny whether Dagenham actually offered him a job.

He said: “I have asked the players to stick with us for the past year or two. They have gone through a lot of hassle, playing every game away, and I felt if I went, it would look like I was being two-faced.

“That is something I am not - and don’t want to be. You ask players for loyalty, and I thought I ought to show some as well.”

He added: “I have been at Margate for eight years. We are right on the edge of something big.

"People like Keith Piper and Colin Page have worked so hard to get this far, and it would have been a shame to leave.”
