MANAGER Chris Kinnear has pledged to stay with Margate despite relegation and the club going into administration.
Kinnear’s future had already been the subject of much speculation since losing their Nationwide South status.
But speaking after the John Ullman Kent Senior Cup win against Dover at Folkestone he said: "There have been a few jobs I could have had, if I had prepared to go full-time, but I have got a young family, and it’s a bit precarious and short-sighted.
"It has been a horrendous year for the club, but I think there is light at the end the tunnel, and we should find out in the next four to six weeks where we go from here."
Margate's 2-1 win retained the trophy for third successive year, and was their fifth win since 1994.
The game was played in the memory of former Paul Sykes who died playing for Folkestone Invicta in the semi-final between the two clubs last month.
