PAUL KONCHESKY has left Charlton Athletic for the move of his dreams to boyhood favourites West Ham.
The Barking-born England international completed the transfer this morning in a £2m deal.
Konchesky, 24, has been at loggerheads with manager Alan Curbishley over which is his best position.
The player has expressed a preference for the left-back slot, held by Hermann Hreidarsson, while his manager has used him primarily on the left side of midfield or in a central role.
Such was the difference of opinion that Konchesky was placed on the transfer list two seasons ago and was loaned to Tottenham where he made 10 starts.
Hammers manager Alan Pardew has assured him that he will be the club’s first choice left-back.
