Landmark for Addicks scheme

CHARLTON'S Red Card membership scheme which was launced at the start of this season has just seen its 50,000th person enrol.

Lisa Walters, from Margate, is the landmark customer for the free scheme that entitles holders to many benefits, including priority on match tickets.

She wins a Charlton shirt autographed by the first team squad.

The club's aim is to have 100,000 people signed up by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, Charlton Football Club chairman Martin Simons will be the guest of honour at a supporters' dinner at Boughton Golf Club near Faversham on February 1. The event is the first to be staged under the auspices of a new Addicks supporters' group.

The initiative came about following approaches from former members of the East Kent branch of the Charlton Athletic Supporters' Club and its breakaway successor, the Charlton Independent Supporters' Association.
