Lane stars for county's women cricketers

KENT'S Under-19s women's cricket team crushed Hertfordshire in the county championship at Great Chart. They won by a massive 295 runs.

Star of the show was captain Natalie Lane who smashed the visitors bowling all over the ground for a superb 175 in Kent's 336 for three in their 45 overs. She had good support from Hayes team-mate Suzie Rowe with 65.

It was also a good day for the Mote's Laura Boorman who struck 43 and also picked up a couple of wickets as Kent fired out Herts for just 41.

The Kent outfit comprised Emma Smith, Nicky Collins, Natalie Lane, Jo Watts, Lucy Wood, Suzie Rowe, Sarah Lovegrove, Laura Boorman, Lois Nethersell, Lauren Webb, manager Malcolm Ings and coach back, Tony Rose.
