CHARLTON striker Darren Bent is celebrating a weekend to remember following his first call-up into the full England squad for Wednesday's friendly against Denmark in Copenhagen.
England coach Sven Goran Eriksson sent for Bent after Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson withdrew owing to a pulled hamstring.
The call came after Bent made a flying start to his career with Charlton by scoring twice on his Barclays Premiership debut for the club in the 3-1 opening day success at Sunderland.
"I hadn't thought about breaking into the full international squad because I've only just arrived in the Premier League," said Bent who cost £3 million from Ipswich in the summer.
"I promise that I will not get carried away. All I want to do is keep working hard and keep improving my game. Hopefully the goals will keep coming."
