Strikers in the Bulmers Cider Kent League will have an extra incentive to hit the back of the net this season.
The league has announced a sponsorship deal with sports manufacturer Joma, which will see the introduction of the Joma Golden Boot for the 2008/09 season across all three divisions.
Bulmers Cider Kent League chairman Denise Richmond said: “We’ve already seen a number of high-scoring matches this season and some early contenders have emerged for the Joma Golden Boot.
"It’s a brilliant package that we have put together and it’s great that we have been able to reward the leading goalscorers in all three divisions.”
As well as a trophy, the winners of each division will also receive a one-season boot contract with Joma, which will provide them with boots for matches and training.
In addition, each winner will be guests of Joma at a Charlton Athletic home game in 2009/10 where they will enjoy hospitality and tickets to a match at The Valley.
Mark Godley, national sales manager for Joma, said "Joma are delighted to announce our new partnership with the Bulmers Cider Kent Football League, which is another indication of our commitment to non-league football.
"Joma continues to enhance its reputation as a genuine alternative choice for clubs and players at all levels of the football pyramid, from grassroots upwards, including women's football.
"The deal with the Kent League offers an opportunity to escalate awareness of the brand among the amateur players in an area of the country where we already enjoy a good relationship with Charlton Athletic and its supporters.
"It will also allow us to reward the areas most talented players with the leading goalscorer awards and ultimately the Joma Golden Boot.”
