THE North Kent Sunday League raised some Christmas cheer for the Kent Air Ambulance and the Lions Hospice at Northfleet with a charity presentation.

More than £750 was shared between the two charities after the league raised the cash in its annual charity shield competition.

League chairman Graham East presented the cheques to the respective charities and said: "Both organisations need colossal amounts to stay open and both offer a service that is desperately needed by our community."
