MORE volunteers are needed to serve on the league management committee of the British Energy Kent County League. And extra referees are also required.
There are vacancies for senior, intermediate and junior club delegates in the Eastern Section and a further vacancy for a delegate with either a senior or intermediate club will arise in June.
Anyone with an interest in soccer is invited to apply as more league officers are due to retire in the near future.
Applications may be addressed to press secretary Geoff Jenkins at Kings View, Shottenden Lane, Molash, Canterbury, Kent CT4 8EZ, or by fax on 01233 740143, or e-mail geoff@kcfl2000.freeserve.co.uk
With more than 1,100 games to cover each season, the league can boast almost 100 per cent success in providing referees, but more are needed to cover retirements.
The Kent Referees' Association has 16 branches throughout Kent and often organise training courses.
