Bromley 1 Eastbourne Borough 3
BROMLEY'S unbeaten home record was ended at Hayes Lane by a well-organised Eastbourne Borough side on Saturday.
Bromley clearly missed injured strikers Danny Hockton and Nic McDonnell but had the better of the early exchanges with some neat approach play in the opening 20 minutes.
On six minutes Gareth Williams tried to catch Eastbourne keeper Lee Hook off his line with a speculative effort from 45 yards that sailed wide.
The Lillywhites were again thwarted by a solid Eastbourne back line when Williams's shot was well blocked as he bore down on goal.
With Bromley attempting to take control, Eastbourne took the lead on 17 minutes - Pat Harding finishing with a low drive form 10 yards after the home side failed to clear their lines.
But Bromley equalised on the stroke of half-time when Garath McCleary turned in from six yards after a low cross by Williams.
On 59 minutes Eastbourne striker Scott Ramsey headed home from close range for the visitors to regain the advantage.
Bromley manager Mark Goldberg tried to change his side's fortunes with a double substitute introducing Junior Kadi and Ali Chaaban but the Lillywhites continued to find the opponents hard to break down.
Williams had an effort disallowed for offside and Barry Moore fired wide late on as Bromley searched for the equaliser.
But Eastbourne sealed the win in added time through Matt Crabb's close range finish.
