Bromley 3 Weston-super-Mare 1
BROMLEY showed character after the 6-1 drubbing in their last outing to record a 3-1 win over struggling Weston-super-Mare in Blue Square South on Saturday.
The visitors took a 14th minute lead when Marc McGregor's speculative 25-yard shot beat Andy Walker, who was struggling with an ankle injury, in the Lillywhites goal.
But Bromley were level six minutes later when Mark Corneille's fine cross was headed in by Danny Hockton.
And the home side were ahead by half-time when an almost identical move in the 32nd minute ended with Nic McDonnell heading a Corneille cross beyond Weston keeper Ryan Northmore.
The second half was a fairly quiet affair but Gareth Williams sealed the points on the hour when he robbed Ben Willshire and finished beyond Northmore.
McDonnell left the field on a stretcher in the 65th minute after a high challenge by Weston skipper Charlie Comyn-Platt, but was up and walking around on the sidelines by the end of the game.
