Linton to face Sussex side in quarter-finals

LINTON PARK (Maidstone) reached the quarter-finals of the npower national village knockout competition with a five wicket victory over Rowledge at Linton on Sunday.

Tight bowling restricted the Surrey side to 157 for eight and Linton had no trouble knocking off the runs with more than three overs to spare.

Linton will now be at home to west Sussex side Findon in the last eight on Sunday, July 25. Findon defeated Bledlow Ridge by 10 runs.

The final of the competition will be played at Lord's on Sunday, August 22.
