Dan Hudson netted White Colts Athletic’s winner in the 1-0 win over second-placed Red Lion in Division 1 of the Sheppey Sunday League.
Lion are now eight points adrift of leaders White Horse and have played three games more.
Holm Sports bounced back with a 4-2 win over Leysdown. Shaun Sullivan, Craig Holland (2) and Chris Fenn were the scorers with Gary Ramsey and Dan Calder replying.
There was a shock in Division 2, with Spike Stars losing 3-2 to second-bottom Kings Head. Chris Irwin got two for Head and Matt Allwood the other.
Andrew Irvine’s hat-trick took his tally for the season to 22 as Division 4 high-flyers Vinters Green came from behind to beat Division 3 Minster College 6-3 to reach the semi-finals of the Junior Charity Cup.
Dan McGuane (2) and Nick McCoy supplied the other goals for Vinters who now meet Castle Tavern.
The league’s leading marksman Luke Rowland scored twice for Tavern as they saw off The Goat 7-2.
Lewis Baker (2), Brendan Lillis and Tyrone King completed the tally. Dan Solari and Matt King netted for The Goat.
Red Lion Reserves stayed on course to reach the final again, beating Minster College Reserves 3-1.
Shaun Pullen, Mark Curtis and John Fisch were the Lion scorers, despite an impressive performance from College goalkeeper Brian Greig, who kept the score down.
Division 4 Park Tavern caused a surprise in the other tie, beating Division 3 side Swale Athletic 3-2.
Matthew Mills, Michael Bean and Tim Mair netted for Tavern, with Luke Faulkner and Simon Byrne replying for Athletic.
