Stacy Long was unhappy with his own performance, but delighted to have picked up an FA Trophy winners' medal as Ebbsfleet United beat Torquay 1-0 at Wembley.
Fleet's leading goalscorer admitted: "You can't explain what happens to your legs when you walk out there it's crazy, it's really sapping.
"I am a player who always wants the ball, and I just felt I didn't do enough. I had a couple of shots, and I had a chance in the last 10 minutes when I could have hit the target at least.
"Honestly, though, I would have traded anything to win today. We have worked all season for this and I am going to enjoy it."
He added: "The build-up was good, and it really began when we came to the stadium on Thursday then back at the hotel.
"The stomach started to churn, I started to eat less, sleep less, and then coming here to see all those fans supporting us, it was absolutely fantastic, and made the occasion even more special.
"To play in and win a Wembley final is something else, I don't think it will hit us until maybe next week."
