BEARSTED golfer Danielle Masters could be on the verge of her biggest achievement to date as she competes for a place in the Curtis Cup squad.

Masters is in Formby to compete for a place in the last 12 of the British and Irish amateurs to face the United States amateurs in June and will find out soon if she has won a spot.

Nicola Timmins of Sene Valley GC is also competing for a spot.

Kent county captain Chris Lohan said: “It would be great if two Kent girls were there. We would be celebrating like mad."
