Ebbsfleet match-winner Chris McPhee dedicated his goal and victory to his sister after an emotional and memorable afternoon at Wembley.

Man-of-the-match McPhee put the disappointment of a missed penalty quickly behind him to score the decider in first half stoppage - and celebrated by displaying a message on his T-shirt with "4 U SIS".

McPhee, a former Torquay player, said: “My sister suffers from ME and I am proud she was able to make her way here today after the problems she has had.

"She hasn’t been able to go downstairs, let alone out the door, so the fact that she was here today meant a lot to me and the rest of my family."

He added: "Credit the goalkeeper for saving the penalty, he did well and got a strong hand to it. I didn’t strike it as I hoped, straight down the middle, but it was just one of those things.

"It’s how you react as a team and individuals and we came out on top. John Akinde did great for the winner. He chased a lost cause, out-muscled one of their defenders, and put it on a plate for me, and I couldn’t miss from three yards out."
