Thamesmead celebrate scoring on their way to victory over Faversham and the Kent League title

Thamesmead Town are celebrating after becoming Kent League champions for the first time.

Mead won premier division title on Saturday after beating Faversham Town 2-1 and can now look forward to playing Ryman League football next season.

Richard Dimmock put the home side ahead after 30 minutes before Dane Luchford levelled for Faversham just before the break.

Pedro Knight scored the all important goal midway through the second half to secure the title.

Thamesmead's only challengers in the title race, VCD Athletic, could only manage a 1-1 draw against Erith Town.
