Midweek FA Cup round-up

Herne Bay bowed out 2-0 in their preliminary round replay at Chipstead who scored both their goals in extra time.

The opener came just a minute from the end of the first extra period, when Chipstead's Danny Oakins headed goalwards and, in attempting to clear, Bay defender Will Graham put through his own net.

Chipstead doubled their lead right at the start of the second period through man of the match Aaron Cole-Bolt and Bay's misery was compounded when defender Rob Goodger was sent off after an incident with home sub Jack Delaney.

James Everitt struck twice as Folkestone Invicta came through their replay against Sevenoaks 4-1 to set up a Kent derby against Ramsgate in the next round.

Invicta opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Everitt headed home, before Andy Constable equalised after a quarter of an hour.

The home side went back in front in 38th minute with a fine strike from Mark Green. Everitt made it 3-1 in the 51st minute and Nick Humphrey put the result beyond doubt with a fourth just before the hour mark.

A goal at the start of the second half gave Chatham a 1-0 replay success at Dorking.

Results: Tuesday: Chipstead 2 Herne Bay 0 AET, Dorking 0 Chatham 1, Folkestone 4 Sevenoaks 1.

Kent League, Premier Division Cup First Round First Leg: Erith & Belvedere 2 Tunbridge Wells 2.
