Adam Miller has hit back at a section of Gillingham supporters following criticism aimed towards him this season.
The midfielder scored the opening goal and set up the second in Gillingham’s 2-1 win over Chesterfield.
Miller, who played through a hernia in an effort to help the Gills avoid relegation from League 1 last season, has become frustrated by a section of the Priestfield crowd.
"I give 110 per cent every week," he said. "I like to think I am turning them round but I don’t see why I should have to be anyway?
"Last year I came here and used to get on with them really well. In my mind nothing has changed and they seem to have short memories.
"I played through a hernia last year, at a time when the club was in a bit of trouble. I think it is pretty poor that people keep getting on me. I know my body language doesn’t look the greatest all the time, but I know I’ve got a bigger heart than a lot of people."
