Captain Adam Miller admitted that Gillingham's preparations for their League 2 clash against Bradford were far from ideal.
Kent was badly affected by snow last week and the extreme weather conditions played havoc with the club’s training schedule.
Miller said: "We haven’t been able to get in to train.
"It’s been a bit awkward for the boys to get in, and when we have got in the training ground has still been frozen because of the snow.
"It doesn’t help because some people may need training from Monday to Friday.
"Some people need something to open the lungs up and blow the cobwebs away, while others don’t.
"Preparation is a major key to any game and if you knock some people out of sync, it can then show on a Saturday.
"For me, personally, I like to be training Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. In my mind I need to do it and like to do it."
