ADAM MILLER has been voted by Kent Messenger Group readers as Gillingham's player of the month for January.
The creative midfielder has been in good form since arriving from Stevenage in November and the Gillingham fans have clearly been impressed with his input.
Miller has played every minute of Gillingham’s league campaign throughout January and despite being deployed in an unfamiliar left-wing role he still did plenty to impress.
Manager Mark Stimson was delighted to see Miller take the award and prise it away from keeper Simon Royce who had won it for the previous two months.
“That was very pleasing,” said Stimson. “I did see the article about voting and I almost got involved. I think Royce’s family votes for him!
“It’s pleasing that attacking players are winning awards because that means we must be making improvements in that area of the pitch.
“He’s playing in a position he’s never played before but he is honest and decent and can adapt.”
Miller took just over 40 per cent of the votes, ahead of Royce in second and defender Simon King in third.
