Minster captain James White refused to blame individuals following the club’s four-wicket defeat against Wickham Park in Shepherd Neame Kent League, Division 3 on Saturday.
After losing the toss and being put into bat, openers Henry Cooper (44) and Andy Hosken (54) put on 84 for the first wicket as Minster posted a target of 202-7. But the hosts reached 208-6 off 48.4 overs.
White said: “I thought 200 would be enough. We just didn’t take enough wickets. It was just one of those days. No-one bowled badly."
The defeat leaves Minster 20 points off second place with just three games left and they face leaders Holmesdale at Gilbert Hall on Saturday.
White added: “We have got to win every game from now on in. Hopefully everyone will be up for the game.”
