MARGATE have moved quickly to sign two more players as player-manager Robin Trott continues his squad-building plans at Hartsdown Park.

He has snapped up former Gravesend midfielders Steve McKimm and Lee Protheroe on one-year deals.

McKimm was one of 11 players released by the Nationwide Conference side at the end of the season.

He was club captain at Stonebridge Road and a big favourite with the Fleet supporters.
