CAPTAIN Grant Baxter believes the Invicta Dynamos have benefited from their gruelling double header with crack EPL side Slough last weekend.
The Mos were predictably outgunned by their classy and experienced opponents, for whom ice hockey legend Steve Moria was one of a number of ex-Elite League players in their ranks.
Saturday's game ended in a 9-0 defeat while Sunday’s return fixture finished in a 9-2 reverse. But Baxter said the team hoped to learn a number of lessons from their encounters with the Jets.
He said: "We did what we could but when you are playing against a side with five ex-Elite League players, you know it’s going to be very tough.
"If we can cut out the sloppy goals, I’m sure we’ll give them a better game when they come back to the Ice Bowl (on September 23)."
The Dynamos face Romford Spitfires in their first ENIHL Cup game of the season on Sunday. Face-off at the Ice Bowl is 5.15pm.
