Ramsgate v Heybridge Swifts
Ramsgate manager Jim Ward makes no bones about it: his side must pick up three points at home to bottom of the league Heybridge Swifts on Saturday.
With Ward's side also in a perilous position in the Ryman League Premier Division, the Rams boss said: "We know we must win on Saturday and we have been planning for this game all week."
Much of that planning will probably have involved how to break down a Heybridge side who, considering their league position, boast an impressive defensive record.
The Swifts have only conceded 34 goals in 25 league games, and Ward said: "They are obviously a hard side to break down, but we have got plenty of attacking options up our sleeve."
Ward says three of his players are "50-50" for Saturday's game because of injuries, Danny Walder, Warren Schulz and Ryan Royston, while midfielder Lee Minshull left Southwood this week to join Tonbridge. But Ward said he was hoping to bring in a loan player "from Gillingham or Ebbsfleet" before Saturday's game.
