IWELUMO: "I couldn't really have chosen anywhere else"

STRIKER Chris Iwelumo is relishing the chance of lifting Charlton back into the Premiership.

The 28-year-old joined the Addicks from Colchester on a free transfer in May, and admitted the increased expectation levels at The Valley played a large factor in his move.

"You can't really compare the clubs. That's why I came. The expectation is Premier League football.

"I couldn't really have chosen anywhere else. Their confidence, and how positive they were, is unbelievable.

"They want to get back to the Premier League first time, and I wanted to be part of that."
