Gillingham v Bournemouth

STEVE CLARIDGE goes straight into the first team against Bournemouth at Priestfield this afternoon having signed on a non-contract basis on Friday.

Claridge replaces Darren Byfield, who is suspended after his dismissal at Scunthorpe last weekend.

Other new signing Brent Sancho is also in the squad, but has had to settle for a place on the bench.

Claridge is joined in attack by Matt Jarvis.

Danny Spiller, who has started all three Gills matches so far this season, has been suffering with an ankle problem picked up at Scunthorpe and is only fit enough for the substitutes bench.

Teenage striker Moses Ashikodi has been named amongst the substitutes on an attacking bench, which also includes Scottish forward Paul Shields.
