DENNIS ROMMEDAHL insists he has no regrets over his summer move to Charlton from PSV Eindhoven.
The Danish international has endured a difficult first season with the Addicks, while his former club have proved the surprise package of this season’s Champions League by reaching the semi-finals.
Rommedahl was the club’s highest profile summer signing when he joined Charlton in a £1m deal, but he has found it hard to adjust to the physical demands of the English game.
The 26-year-old has been in and out of the side, making only 16 league starts and scoring just two goals.
It is a far cry from his PSV days where he won Dutch league titles, featured in six successive Champions League campaigns and reached three Uefa Cup quarter-finals.
Rommedahl still believes he made the right decision coming to England and is pleased to see his former club doing so well.
"I feel good about what they have done because I was there for eight years and it is the club that is in my heart.
"I am happy for them and they can win three titles this year if they are lucky. What they have done so far is enormous in Holland, but I have no regrets because I wanted to try something new."
