ONOURA: "It is important to get the right sort of player on board"

NEW first team coach Iffy Onuora is relishing the chance to help push Gillingham back into the Championship.

The 39-year-old returned to Priestfield for the third time last month, having spent two spells with the club as a striker between 1996 and 2002.

A number of new summer signings have helped bolster the squad but Onuora believes one or two more players are still needed.

He said: "We're still a bit short. I think it is fair to say that we are looking to strengthen in one or two areas.

"But we've got to get the right type. It is important to get the right sort of player on board and not just go for quantity but quality."
