Osborn back on recovery trail

MIDFIELDER Simon Osborn was today looking to make a comeback for Gillingham Reserves against Barnet in a bid to be fast-tracked to the first team.

The 31-year-old, who has not played since August 24 at Norwich where he sustained an Achilles injury, is desperate to regain his place in the side in order to win a new contract. His existing agreement ends in June.

The match was scheduled to be played at Gillingham’s training ground with a 2pm kick off.

Meanwhile, Gillingham goalkeeper Jason Brown played his second game inside 24 hours last night when he kept a clean sheet for the Wales Under-20 side in their goalless draw with South Korea at Ninian Park.
