GILLINGHAM midfielder Simon Osborn looks likely to miss Saturday's match against leaders Wolves at Molineux with an Achilles problem. He underwent a scan on Wednesday and is rated no better than 50-50 to face his old club.
Player-manager Andy Hessenthaler is ready to continue as his replacement following his first return to the starting line-up since November 3 at Manchester City. Nyron Nosworthy continues as Mark Patterson's replacement at right-back but he could have a new full-back partner in Roland Edge.
The left-back returned to the bench at Rotherham on Tuesday after months out injured and may get the nod on Saturday, allowing David Perpetuini to push up into his favoured position on the left of midfield.
Assistant manager Richard Hill believes Gillingham can take heart from the manner of their Cup triumph. "We set our stall out that day against Wolves and stifled them in midfield," he said. "When things were not going well, their fans became impatient and that transmitted itself to the players. That could happen again on Saturday."
Wolves' former Charlton striker Shaun Newton is expected to resume after coming off with a hamstring strain during Tuesday's 3-0 win over Walsall.
