GILLINGHAM midfielder Simon Osborn has committed his future to the club by signing a new two-year contract.
Osborn, 31, who missed the majority of last season with an Achilles injury, had been in talks with the club for a number of weeks over a new contract.
Many supporters were beginning to fear Osborn would be allowed to leave Priestfield, following left-back Roland Edge who could not agree terms on a new contract earlier this summer.
However, the former QPR and Wolves player, has now put pen to paper on the deal, with the option of a further 12 months.
Gillingham chairman Paul Scally, told the club's official website: “He is a lovely lad and we are all pleased that he is remaining with us.
“Simon clearly understands the financial situation at the club and in football in general and his demands were not unreasonable.”
