SIMON OSBORN: says victory may strengthen his case for new players

Bromley v Maidenhead

BROMLEY welcome Maidenhead to Hayes Lane in the Blue Square South looking to beat them for the third time this season.

The Lillywhites defeated them 2-1 in the Setanta Shield and 3-2 in the league in November and another win would strengthen caretaker boss Simon Osborn's case for new players in the push for the play-offs.

He said: "We’ve not got the strongest squad and I would like to juggle things about and bring a couple of players in. If I can identify players that will make us better, then I can go to the chairman and ask.

"I’ve expressed my desire to take the job and when the chairman feels it is right there will be a decision.

"He’s happy at the moment and it’s been a bit busy. We’ve not had a chance to discuss things but when we get the opportunity, I will put my case forward."

Osborn's only injury problem surrounds striker Nic McDonnell, who scored the winner at Bognor on Saturday, and he well may start on the bench again.
