Charlton v Bristol City

CHARLTON manager Alan Pardew is set to change formation from Saturday's 4-5-1 at Sheffield United to a probable 4-4-2 for Tuesday's visit of Championship leaders Bristol City.

He explained: "Bristol City are going well and it will be a different type of game, so I will change things."

Pardew could hand a start to on-loan Scott Sinclair, signed for the rest of the season last week from Chelsea. He made his debut as a 70th minute substitute in the 2-0 win at Bramall Lane. Andy Gray, who missed Saturday's game through illlness, should return to contention.

Sam Sodje, who celebrated his return after a 10-match injury-enforced absence with a goal on Saturday, keeps his place at the expense of Jonathan Fortune.

Leaders City are bidding for automatic promotion to end a 28-year absence from the top flight with manager Gary Johnson convinced that the club are six wins away from fulfilling the dream.

The Addicks start with the psychological advantage of having beaten City, 1-0, at Ashton Gate in November.
