ALAN PARDEW has revealed he believes six more wins this season will keep Charlton in the Premiership - and has labelled star striker Darren Bent the key to the club's survival hopes.
The Addicks are currently second from bottom of the table with 20 points, level with West Ham, with both clubs five points adrift of Wigan.
Those six wins would take the club to 38 points, and what better time to start than when the Hammers come to The Valley on February 24th - and when Bent should be back in the first-team frame.
Pardew said: "The goalscorer in any team is the key - Thierry Henry is as much the key to Arsenal as Darren Bent is to Charlton. You need your big players."
Looking ahead to what looks to be one of the games of the season as former Addicks boss Alan Curbishley leads the Hammers to The Valley later this month, Pardew has highlighted the input from supporters as being essential to the club's top-flight dreams.
He added: "We cannot possibly lose that feeling. If we lose that between now and the end I think it's over for us. That power, that heart, will be just as key as Darren Bent."
