Alan Pardew says the Wolves game could be key

Charlton's manager Alan Pardew conceded that his side need to win “four or five” of their last six games to break back into play-off contention.

The Addicks have dropped to 10th in he table leaving the manager to predict: “We need four or five games to give ourselves a chance. But we’re more than capable of doing that."

As he prepared to face Wolves, who are a point better off, at The Valley on Saturday, Pardew confessed: “You can’t help but feel that this is going to be a key game in the run-in.

“There is a strong feeling within the dressing room that we can still do it and we’ll be taking that belief into Saturday’s match against Wolves.

“After that we go to Plymouth and we’ll need to take four or six points from those two games.”
