West Brom v Charlton

CHARLTON take on Championship promotion rivals West Bromwich Albion for the third time in the space of a month tonight when the two attempt to settle their FA Cup, third round tie at The Hawthorns.

Awaiting the winners of tonight's replay are League 2 Peterborough at London Road on January 26.

Charlton lost 4-2 on their previous visit to The Hawthorns on December 15 and manager Alan Pardew is keen for his side to learn from their mistakes that day.

He said: "We made mistakes there in the League after taking the lead and I want us to learn from that experience.

"It's a tough call for us as West Brom are especially strong at home but I think this is our turn to win."

Striker Luke Varney, who rediscovered his goal touch in Saturday's 4-1 defeat of Blackpool, added: "The gaffer has told us that he wants to go to West Bromwich Albion and win so we can get an FA Cup run going.

"But we know that the Championship is the priority."

Pardew is expected to announce an unchanged side, though central defender Jonathan Fortune should be available after being kept out of contention by an Achilles injury.

Albion defender Paul Robinson misses the tie through suspension but striker Craig Beattie could be recalled after injury.
