Swansea 1 Charlton 1
Charlton pinched a precious point on their first visit to Swansea's Liberty Stadium but found other crucial results went against them in their attempts to climb off the foot of the Coca-Cola Championship.
With Southampton,Plymouth, Watford and Forest all picking up points, the Addicks remain nailed to the foot of the table, 10 points adrift of safety, despite stretching their unbeaten sequence to three games.
"I defy anyone to write us off," said defiant manager Phil Parkinson. "We've got two crucial home games coming up against Doncaster on Tuesday and Watford next Saturday.
"If we can take maximum points from those games, a lot of people will sit up and take note.
"I was well satified with our performance against a very good Swansea side, especially in the second half when the belief flooded back into our game. We could have even won had Darren Ambrose tucked away a very good chance."
Graeme Murty's 42nd-minute slip let in Nathan Dyer who gave the Swans the lead from a simple chance.
Charlton responded with a much improved second half performance and were rewarded when midfielder Nicky Bailey equalised with his eighth goal of the season, his 25-yard drive deflecting in off Swansea substitute Albert Serran.
Ambrose, who had replaced the outstanding Jonjo Shelvey in the 77th minute, should have given Charlton an 81st minute lead when clean through on goal. But he allowed goalkeeper Dorus de Vries to save.
Swansea were also guilty of squandering match-winning chances with Dyer and Jordi Gomez the biggest culprits in the closing stages.
