INVICTA DYNAMOS coach Kevin Parrish felt his side’s 11-6 win over Cardiff Devils in the English National Ice Hockey League Cup on Sunday was marred by the referee’s performance.
Jordy Black scored three goals and Kevin Lake two as the Dynamos put themselves firmly in control before the second leg, which takes place in Cardiff on Saturday.
The game was originally scheduled as an English National Ice Hockey League match, but following an ENIHL management meeting last weekend, Cardiff have withdrawn from the league after being unable to fulfil their home fixtures.
They have now joined Peterborough and Invicta in their ENIHL Cup Group.
Parrish said: "The game wasn’t one of the best. If I was a supporter I would have been bored as the referee seemed to be awarding penalty after penalty."
Anthony Lennon (concussion) could return this weekend and Peter Korff is expected to be available.
