PARRISH: "If we can put quite a few goals past them it will make other teams sit up and say 'Invicta are looking strong again'"

INVICTA DYNAMOS coach Kevin Parrish has challenged his players to lay down a marker for the rest of the season when they begin the defence of their English National Ice Hockey League on Sunday (5.15pm face-off).

Opponents Lee Valley Lions are once again expected to be one of the weakest teams in the division and Parrish wants a convincing win from his side.

He said: "I want us to play to our system for three periods and not just one and a half.

"If we can put quite a few goals past them it will make other teams sit up and say 'Invicta are looking strong again'.

"It can give us a psychological advantage going into games as the season goes on."

The Dynamos’ stop-start season continued with a battling 6-2 win at Basingstoke Buffalo last Sunday in the ENIHL Cup.

Meanwhile, the Mos visit Slough Jets in the EPIHL Cup on Saturday.

Peter Carey (hand) is still a week away from full fitness but otherwise Parrish have a full squad to ice from.
